EDA Powering Digital Modernization of Natural Gas Distribution

Nedgia is a gas distribution company of Spanish Utility group Naturgy, responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of the more than 53,800 kilometres of natural gas network that are connected to more than 5.4 million supply points in almost 1,150 municipalities.

In the process, Nedgia will replace over 5 million gas counters to support digital telemetry and integrate remote sites (stores, warehouses, Distribution Centers, Gas Counters) with their central IT supply chain, marketing, e-commerce, retail POS, SAP ERP and data analytics systems.

They will use event-driven Integration to bridge OT and IT networks in real-time using SAP Integration Suite, advanced event mesh, and to integrate network actuation procedures with their SAP Asset Management solution in real-time.
