This talk will be an introduction to help developers get started with using AsyncAPI. It will cover how to describe your Kafka cluster and define how clients should connect. Dale Lane is currently a Senior Cloud Engineer at IBM with prior experience as a software architect responsible for capabilities in IBM’s Cloud Pak for Integration that supported the use of Apache Kafka. From his time as the lead developer for IBM Event Streams, Dale has experience managing Apache Kafka in Kubernetes and had a deep understanding of how it can be useful to enterprises.
Nic Townsend is a Software Engineer in event endpoint management for IBM. He has over 20 years’ experience as a senior application designer and developer and has a strong technical background on the IBM platform with recent experience of Microsoft SQL Server. Nic has worked in establishing communications and exchanging data between disparate systems, both internally and with external partners.
